Privacy Policy
This explains what we do with personal data — both on this website and through Ava, our 24/7 AI receptionist. We’ve written it in plain English rather than legalese, because a privacy policy nobody can read isn’t worth much.
Who we are
SuirViewDigital is a web design studio based in Co. Tipperary, Ireland, run by Luke Dee. You can reach us at [email protected] or 085 153 8421.
This website
We don’t track you. This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and carries no advertising or social pixels. We don’t know who you are unless you tell us. That’s why you won’t see a cookie banner — there’s nothing to consent to.
If you fill in our enquiry form, we receive what you send — typically your name, email, business name and your message. We use it to reply to you and nothing else. We don’t sell it, share it for marketing, or add you to any list. Our form is delivered by Formspree, and bookings are handled by Cal.com; both process that data on our behalf.
Ava — our AI receptionist
Ava answers the phone for businesses that hire us. If you have called a business and spoken to Ava, here is exactly where you stand.
She tells you she’s an AI
Ava says she is an AI assistant in her opening line, and if you ask her at any point whether she is a real person, she will tell you straight away. We think you have a right to know who you’re talking to.
Who is responsible for your data
The business you rang is the data controller — it’s their patients, their customers, their records. We are a data processor: we run the phone agent on their instructions, under a written agreement. If you want your data corrected or erased, contact that business directly; if you contact us, we’ll pass it to them.
What’s handled during a call
To take a booking or a message, Ava needs the ordinary things a receptionist needs: your name, your phone number, and roughly what you’re calling about. If you volunteer health information — for example when ringing a dental or medical practice — that is special category data under Article 9 GDPR, and it is handled only to arrange your appointment or pass a message to the practice, on their instruction.
What is kept, and for how long
Booking and message details are passed to the business you rang and stored in their calendar and systems, under their retention rules.
Call handling is powered by Retell AI. Storage of call recordings and transcripts is configured per business. Our default is to keep as little as possible, and to set the shortest retention that still lets the business serve you properly. If a business asks us to keep recordings, that business will tell you so on the call.
Ask the business you rang, or ask us, and we’ll tell you exactly what’s configured for that number.
Reaching a human
You can always ask Ava for a person. If you ask, or if the call is urgent, she passes you through. You are never forced to deal with an AI.
Who else touches the data
We keep the list short and use established providers, each under a data processing agreement:
- Retell AI — runs the voice agent (SOC 2 Type 1 & 2, GDPR and HIPAA compliant; EU Standard Contractual Clauses in place)
- Formspree — delivers this website’s enquiry form
- Cal.com — handles call bookings
- Vercel — hosts this website
- Blacknight / Cloudflare — domain and network
Some of these process data outside the EU/EEA. Where that happens, transfers rely on European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses or another approved mechanism.
Your rights
Under GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how it’s used, or ask us to restrict it. Email [email protected] and we’ll respond within one month. For call data, the business you rang is the controller, so we may need to route your request to them.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled it, you can complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission — dataprotection.ie.
Changes
If this changes materially we’ll update the date at the top. We won’t quietly broaden what we do with your data.
