The 60-second check

Check your own website. On your own phone.

Three things worth knowing about how your business actually looks to a customer in 2026. Takes about a minute. You'll need your phone and your business name.

Nothing is sent anywhere. No email, no sign-up, no tracking of your answers. This page does its counting in your browser and forgets it the moment you close the tab. Nobody sees the result but you.
01

The phone test

Turn wifi off. On mobile data, open your own website and count the seconds until you can actually read it.

What good looks like
  • Readable in under 3 seconds
  • Your phone number is tappable — it starts a call
  • No pinching, no sideways scrolling
  • You can find your opening hours in one go

53% of people leave a site that takes more than three seconds. On a phone, sites bounce about 12 points harder than on a laptop — which is where most owners look at their own site.

The AI test

Open ChatGPT and type your business name. Then ask it best [what you do] in [your town] — and see who it names.

What good looks like
  • It knows your business exists
  • It describes what you do accurately
  • It has your town right
  • You appear when it's asked for a local recommendation

45% of people now use AI tools to find a local business — a year ago it was 6%. In one 2026 study, 83% of restaurants were invisible to ChatGPT, against 14% missing from Google.

The Maps test

Google your own business name. Look at the panel that appears — that's your Google Business Profile, and it's free.

What good looks like
  • The main category is the right one
  • Opening hours are correct, including bank holidays
  • Photos added in the last 90 days
  • Your most recent review has a reply

Google Business Profile signals carry roughly a third of local search ranking. Since March 2026, review recency and owner reply rate count for more than how many reviews you have.
